Nick and Mark first crossed paths during Frog Week in Fall 2015 at the University of North Georgia, where they were paired as Froggy Buddies. Though their initial connection started there, it was through their shared involvement in the Blue Ridge Rifles and Patriot Choir that they truly bonded. The two also found themselves together in a chemistry class, a setting where Nick played a pivotal role—introducing Mark to his future wife, Kyra. Their friendship has only grown stronger since, with Mark standing by Nick’s side as a groomsman on this special day.

Nick and Ryan’s friendship began during a read-through for a theater production at Rome High. Their bond grew stronger during those formative high school years, marked by memorable experiences—from dinners with Ryan and his future wife, Lacey, to days at the shooting range, high-speed go-kart races on a pro track, joining Nick on his senior trip, and even meeting his fraternity brothers at the University of North Georgia. Many unforgettable nights have since faded into legend. Through it all, Nick has seen Ryan as a brother and is deeply grateful for the lasting friendship they continue to share. That’s why it means so much to have Ryan standing beside him as a groomsman on this special day.

Today is also touched with a quiet sorrow, as John carries the memory of his beloved wife—Erin’s Grandmommy—who passed away suddenly just six months ago. Though she is not here in person, her spirit is ever-present, and through John, her love continues to shine on Erin’s special day.
Paulette King-Corliss

Paulette King was not only Erin’s grandmother —she was the only mother Erin and Ashley really ever knew. She was Grandmommy. Always a phone call away, Paulette was the heart of the family, offering love, wisdom, and support whenever it was needed. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone, but especially to her beloved son, Rob (to his mom, he was Craig) , and his daughters. Her kindness and selflessness created a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her. Paulette unexpectedly passed away in December 2024, just six months before this grand occasion. While her physical presence is deeply missed, her spirit and the love she gave to her family remain with us every day. Her loving husband, John, is here with us today, carrying Paulette’s memory with him. As we celebrate Erin’s big day, we hold Grandmommy in our hearts, knowing she is with us in spirit, watching over this beautiful moment.
