Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Erin Halligan and Nick Jensen
Our first trip together was to San Luis Obispo. Here are some of our favorite spots. All food spots are great for most dietary restrictions.

High Street Deli

350 High Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
, +18055414738

This is by far our favorite sandwich spot. Don't miss out on the dutch crunch bread, and "make it stoney" for their own personal way to amp up any sandwich!

Giuseppe's Cucina Rustica

849 Monterey Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
, (805) 541-9922

For homemade pasta and a fabulous espresso martini, go here! With no reservations, you will have to wait for a table. Grab a drink at Frog and Peach pub or Luna Red to pass the time.

SloDoCo Donuts

793F Foothill Boulevard, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405
, (805) 782-9766

24 hour donut spot. Try their maple bacon, old fashioned, or their peanut butter filled chocolate bar.

Firestone Grill

1001 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
, (805) 783-1001

Santa Maria style barbecue is done right here at Firestone. Definitely get tri tip sandwiches and a "bucket of fries" that could easily feed a family of 5.

Thursday Night Downtown Farmers Market

Higuera St, San Luis Obispo, CA

If you're extending your stay, definitely go downtown Thursday night and visit their farmers market. With live music, produce stands, fresh flowers, and food vendors, it is a great family friendly activity full with fun experiences.

BarrelHouse Brewing Co. - Taproom and Speakeasy

San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
, (805) 296-1128

Under the barbershop on Chorro St. (right by Luna Red), go down the stairs and get a pint or a flight from our favorite brewery in SLO. The Mango IPA is not to be missed.

Montaña de Oro State Park

3550 Pecho Valley Road, Los Osos, CA 93402
, (805) 528-0513

These golden dunes are a perfect place to go to unwind or explore. Pack a picnic (or a couple of High St Deli sandwiches) and explore this state park. There are hikes, tidepools, and beautiful landscapes to discover.

Avila Beach

Avila Beach, CA

Avila Beach offers a small beach town vibe with great food and activity options. There's a dog beach, acai bowls, and if you're lucky, you can see dolphins swimming about.
