Things to do at Camp
There are so many things to do at our venue! Long Lake Outdoor Center (LLOC) sits on 30 acres, with lake frontage for swimming & canoeing (canoes provided!), tons of hiking trails, a volleyball court, a softball diamond, horseshoes, fire circles + more. Suggested hikes: Hall Lake Trail + Graves Hill Overlook + Devil’s Soup Bowl 2.7-mile loop trail Hike to the shore of Long Lake 1.7 Mile round-trip
Yankee Springs State Recreation Area
Our camp is adjacent to this 5,200 acre state park! Home to 30 miles of hiking trails, 12 miles of mountain bike trails, and two public beaches, you can venture on foot into the park. No entry fee for foot traffic. A MI Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry. Yankee Springs' Gun Lake Swimming Beach (1.6 miles down the road) has a gigantic inflatable waterslide that is open daily. It's $10 for an all day bracelet or $2 a ride. Why not have a round of golf? Casual & affordable, with on-site restaurant. Carts available. Book a tee-time for your Leisure & Rec time.
Gun Lake Rentals
Hop over to Gun Lake Rentals & take a pontoon, kayak, or paddle board out on the lake.
Gun Lake Casino
There's a full-on casino about 15 minutes from camp, fun!
Groceries & Other Camp Supplies
Tom's on Gun Lake Less than a mile way, this little grocery store has all the basics, including produce, a deli counter, and beer & alcohol. Prices are a bit higher than the larger grocery store up the road. Hours: Friday & Saturday 9 AM - 8 PM Sunday 9 AM - 5 PM Town & Country Supermarket 11 minute drive from LLOC. Full grocery store with bakery, beer & liquor, and pharmacy. Hours: Friday & Saturday 8 AM-8 PM Sunday Family Dollar - Just across the street from the Supermarket. Open until 10 PM. Walmart - 16 minute drive from camp
