We both were working at an adtech company, myself in San Francisco and him in Los Angeles. We worked together quite a bit on projects and client teams but were mostly AIM friends/coworkers. At the end of 2009, I was down in LA for some meetings and a bunch of our coworkers decided to go out on the town in Pasadena. It was pretty clear there was a connection and over the next few months, we dated in secret (AND long distance!) until he decided it was time to move back up to the Yay Area!

Everyone knows I'm a planner. I plan early and I over plan everything. We decided to take a trip to London and Ireland and I immediately mapped out every day of the trip. Little did I know, he had made a plan for himself! On our last day of the two week trip, we made the drive from Galway, through The Burren, to the Cliffs of Moher. It was absolutely breathtaking! We saw this tower waaaaaay down the way that seemed to have less people so we decided to hike out to it, which turned out to be able 3 muddy miles along the cliffs. We finally made it to the tower, and stayed to take pictures and enjoy the views. I realized, as I was getting ready to head back, he still wasnt ready to go. He then turned to me and said, "I've made you a present to commemorate the trip." He pulls out his phone, and opens up...ERBERGAME! My own iPhone game he programmed and composed music and art for, all about me! I played through the game and at the end, instead of going to back to the home screen, it began playing a special note, just to me. At the end, it asked me to turn around and close my eyes and when I turned back around, he was down on one knee with the ring! It was a moment that was so perfect.
