Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

If you are coming from out of town, or are family, yes. If you are local and have the ability to get a sitter, that may be best. If your kids are close to us and would like to come to our wedding, give us a shout and we will discuss. We really want to be able to know how many people to plan for (food, drinks and lodging etc.), so just let us know. Warning: Teens will be present, as we have 3 between us plus their friends.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Whatever you want! The wedding is Beetlejuice themed, so if you are inspired to dress up, do so! Black is DEFINITELY appropriate for our wedding (black and white striped too:).

Question

Will food or drink be provided?

Answer

Dinner and drinks will be provided after the wedding. There will be meat and vegetarian options. If you are camping, please bring your own food for the weekend (aside for dinner after the wedding). There will be a picnic structure with a large grill/griddle and fire pit.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Again, for the sake of knowing how many people to prepare for, make sure to RSVP for the exact number who will be attending.

Question

What's on the Menu?

Answer

Dinner will include options for meat-eaters and vegetarian/vegans and those with dietary restrictions. We will be serving smoked chicken (breasts and drumsticks), sausages (smokies, kielbasa and field roasts), baked beans, a baked potato bar, and salad. We will offer vegan/gluten-free cupcakes, in addition to the wedding cake for dessert!

Question

What do campers need to bring?

Answer

Please make sure to let us know ahead of time if you need a bunk in the bunkhouses or space for an RV or camper in the parking lot. We will need to make sure there is space for everyone. There are many tent spaces available, so bring all your usual tent camping gear, first come first serve on who gets what spot- although its pretty nice everywhere. Don't forget your firewood, food, drinks etc. for your party for the days you plan to camp. We will provide dinner and drinks after the wedding, but not food for the other meals if you are staying on site. There is a large fire pit and charcoal grill/griddle you can use, but please bring your own cooking supplies. Let us know if you have any other questions about camping!

Question

Drinks, anyone?

Answer

We will be serving beer and wine after the wedding and during the reception, in addition to non-alcoholic drinks. If you want liquor, or drinks for the other nights if you are camping, please feel free to bring what you like.

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

You may bring a dog if you are are camping at the site for the weekend, but we ask that you be considerate of the situation. There will be kids at the wedding and may be other dogs. It is your responsibility to make sure your dog gets along with all guests, doesn't frighten or threaten kids, is tethered during meals (no begging for food from guests, or stealing food from tables), gets along with the other dogs or is appropriately attended to if any of these things become a problem. PLEASE pick up all dog poop, even though we are outside camping, there will be many people walking around the campground all weekend, and that is not something we want to deal with at a wedding. We want this wedding to be stress-free and fun for everyone. Thanks!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Your attire is entirely up to you! There is no dress code or expectations, although Beetlejuice is our theme and we would be delighted it if you found that an inspiration. Black, White and Red is our color-scheme, so any combo of those colors would be entirely appropriate. The terrain is grass and dirt, so you may consider that when choosing footwear. Dress up if you want, feel confident, and have fun!
