We met for the first time around a fire at a backyard party at my house. Mike was invited by my brother, Eddie. We talked for a while that night and became friends on snap chat. I left for England a couple of months later to study abroad. We communicated via snap chat the whole time while I was away. I knew at that time that we had something special. We reconnected at Kasey’s in Rockville Center when I was home from college for Spring Break. (Mike used to sneak me and my friends into this bar). We talked over the next year and fell for each other at a 4th of July Party in Long Beach. After a tumultuous courting, we began dating August 23, 2015.
Five years later, on December 6, 2020, Mike asked me to marry him. We had planned to cut down our own Christmas Tree. That morning, Mike was drinking whiskey and acting odd. I asked him if he was ok and he barely answered. While walking around browsing for trees, I noticed my brother and Lindsay filming me. A second later I turned around and saw Mike down on one knee. I was in complete shock and kept repeating "No no no no" because I HATE surprises. Mike was definitely scared that that was my answer. I finally said YES of course and hugged my future husband. We were so happy to end an otherwise stressful year on a beautiful and blissful note. We cannot wait to celebrate our relationship with all of you, who we love the most! Please come ready to eat, drink and dance all night!
