Dear friends & family, For the health and safety of our loved ones (including our baby Gigi Sage), we ask that all guests are fully vaccinated. Kids, who are not vaccinated and attending, should plan to wear a mask if indoors or in close proximity to others outdoors. With love, Erin & Matthew
The headlines: (1) Bring a mask to use when indoors, (2) Bring your vaccination card and/or send us your vaccination details in advance @ matthew.ciccone@gmail.com, (3) Bring a sweater as you'll be both outdoors and indoors, (4) All staff at Testarossa will be vaccinated. The Welcome Dinner will have both indoor and outdoor spaces. You will be required to wear a mask when indoors. All staff at Testarossa are vaccinated and all guests at Testarossa must provide proof of vaccination in advance or when they arrive.
For those of you who wish to complete a COVID-19 test upon arrival in California, there are easy and free options offered by Santa Clara County. You can schedule an appointment here: https://covid19.sccgov.org/covid-19-testing.
All of the wedding events are located in San Jose and Los Gatos (approximately 20 minutes apart). Lyft and Uber are readily available in the area, and convenient from both airports (although expensive from SFO). If you’re interested in exploring further afield (see our recommended list) renting a car will help you to make the most of your visit. The Welcome Dinner at Testarossa is on a hill just beyond downtown Los Gatos, and makes for a steep walk or a very short drive from town. The venue has plenty of parking. The ceremony & reception at the Simmons Home is also on a hill with street parking. The venue has less parking but will have an attendant onsite for parking support.
For the Welcome Dinner, you can arrive as early as 6:15 to 6:30pm. We will plan to be there until 8:30 or 9pm. For the Ceremony, please to arrive as early as 11:30am to valet your car (if driving), have an espresso or refreshment, sign our guest book and make your way down the hill to the ceremony.
Do dress codes still mean anything anyhow? It's a wedding. There will be a photographer. We will be looking at your picture for a long time. We don't recommend pointy heels, as you'll be outdoors (pavers, tile, sand). We do recommend layers, as it may be breezy on the hill or chilly once the sun goes down. You will be mostly outside. If it rains, bring an umbrella.
We love you, and that means your kids too. Saturday evening your kids are welcome. It will be casual, and without an agenda. Sunday, the Simmons home is a bit less kid friendly. Please let us know if you plan on bringing your child(ren). Any children that do attend will be promptly given an oyster and a negroni.
We’re planning a wide variety of food, including vegetarian options. Nuts will likely be avoided since Erin’s nephew has a peanut allergy. If you have any special concerns, please email Matthew at matthew.ciccone@gmail.com.
