What does food look like?

There is no formal sit down dinner. Spanky's BBQ (food truck) will be available with food to purchase, the menu should be very simliar to the below. Cash bar will open at 6pm. We plan to have a square on-site to take debit/credit payments, but if there are any issues with connectivity cash is recommended. What kind of a wedding is this? What should I wear? Are we going to be outside the whole time?

Answer

This is a wear-what-you-like, nothing formal, enjoy yourself however you see fit, kind of wedding. There will be lawn games, a fire pit, a live band and dance floor, the option for camping, and you can attend our wedding ceremony if you feel like it! No speeches, no sit down dinner, no wedding party or grand reception - we want to keep it simple and light for everyone to enjoy as they please :) There are options to be under a roof or out in nature as you like!

What is available for accommodations?

Answer

There are a number of B&Bs within a half hour of the venue, a small motel in Mount Forest called the Forest Plaza Motel (9 min away), The Grey Rose Suites and Traveller's Inn in Hanover (25 min away), the Best Western Plus in Walkerton (30 min away). Owen Sound is the largest nearby town. It is 47 minutes from the venue, and has a number of hotels and B&Bs. There are many things to see and do around the area, and there are a number of beaches and trails nearby. Love's has camping and trailer spaces available on their property. If this interests you, please let us know so that we can reserve a spot for you.

I'm camping, when can I set up? When do I leave?

Answer

Our venue has said guests can set up for camping as early as Friday afternoon. That being said there is no access to water or hydro at the camping sites. Our recommendation would be to come between 12-4pm Saturday for set up, and then wander into one of the nearby towns for a snack. There will be flush toilets down the hill at the wedding venue from 12pm-1am (saturday only), and we have two port-o-potties up at the campground for camper use. The venue has requested that all campers vacate the premises by noon on Sunday.
