We met at Laclede's Landing in STL while celebrating Gaby's 21st birthday (Erin's college roommate) We had an instant connection!

He got me good! I did not see the proposal coming and was completely surprised! I planned a weekend getaway to San Diego for HIS birthday. That Saturday we planned a beach day to one of our favorite places at La Jolla Cove. I was frustrated with him because I was wearing a swimsuit and he was all fancy in brand new shoes, dress shirt and khaki pants. I made him change lol. We could not find parking which I am sure didn't help his nerves. Now looking back, it all makes sense. He kept itching his leg and I was making fun of him-turns out he was just making sure the ring did not fall out of his pocket. When he initially got down on one knee I thought he was pranking me! After all these years he would tell me he will get me an "onion ring" haha. Ring came out of small/skinny box which popped the ring out. I was completely in shock! The scenery was absolutely perfect-flowers blooming, wonderful weather, waves crashing, sea lions were out-my absolute favorite place :) Maciej designed the most beautiful ring and he could not have done a better job. Gorgeous rose gold pear shaped ring with a halo. It was a perfect day! We later celebrated our engagement with dinner and drinks at Truluck's and Flemings.

Our wedding will take place at the Verrado Golf Club outside :) Beautiful mountain backdrop and we will officially tie the knot close to where we planted our roots.
