We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Erin and Luke met on an unseasonably warm Friday night in April of 2017. Erin was living near Washington D.C. at the time and had made the trip to Greensboro with her friend Kelly to spend Easter weekend at home. That Friday evening, Luke, who was living in Greensboro, happened to be heading out for a night on the town with a group mutual friends. As fate would have it, the two ended up at the same bar! Although much back and forth has been had between the two about exactly which downtown establishment they first locked eyes in, we all know who’s right 😉 As Erin would tell the story, they first met at Grey’s Tavern over a few ice-cold Bud Lights. She was immediately taken with Luke’s strong beard and confident demeanor, while Luke was struck by Erin’s height, beauty and her doesn’t take any flak attitude. From there they ventured to the Boro and finally to the bars on Lawndale – not far from the home they share now! As the night progressed, they talked, danced and had a few more libations. By the end of the night Luke was getting ready to ask Erin for her phone number when Kelly walked up, grabbed Luke’s phone and said Erin would like you to have her number. After a couple weeks of texting, Luke made a daring ask. He asked Erin if he could come up to D.C. to spend Cinco de Mayo with her and her friends – to both their surprise, she said yes. They spent the weekend drinking Coronas, eating nachos and getting to know each other. For the next three years they would trade weekends driving back and forth from North Carolina to D.C. Eventually, they decided to make Greensboro their home. In May 2021, Luke decided that it was finally time to put a ring on it, and that is what brings us to June 4, 2022!
