Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is black-tie optional; we want to see you in your best! Suits, tuxes, long gowns, and cocktail dresses are all welcome. Be sure to wear your dancing shoes! Feel free to dress casually for our Welcome to DC event.

Question

What if I'm late for the ceremony?

Answer

We invite you to arrive at District Winery at 4:30pm to enjoy a pre-ceremony beverage and mingle before finding your seat. Our ceremony will start promptly at 5pm at which time the doors will be closed. Once the ceremony concludes, you will be able to join us for the remainder of the evening.

Question

Can I sit wherever I'd like?

Answer

For the ceremony, yes! We'd love for you to choose a seat where you feel most comfortable on either side of the aisle. For dinner, we will be thoughtfully arranging seating for all guests.

Question

Will we be outside?

Answer

Our cocktail hour will take place on an outdoor patio. October in DC can be unpredictable, so please check the forecast and bring anything you might need to be comfortable outside.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we're able to create the experience we've envisioned, we are not able to accommodate plus ones at our wedding unless specifically indicated on your invitation.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We've decided to keep our wedding an adults-only event, with the exception of children in the wedding party. If you would like recommendations for childcare professionals in DC, please reach out to us!

Question

Will your names be changing?

Answer

They will not! Kirk will remain Mr. Kirk Dennis. Erin will remain Dr. Erin Conn legally and professionally, but won't mind being called either Dr. Erin Conn or Erin Dennis socially.
