Wedding Party

Meet the friends that are walking us down the Aisle!

Ashley Lloyd

Maid of Honor

I first met Erin when we were freshmen in college at Northwestern through mutual friends in my dorm. We became fast friends, bonding over our mutual love of Diet Coke and romcoms. I met Katz about a year later through our business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. I was fortunate enough to get to witness all of Erin and Katz’s relationship, starting with Erin confessing her crush on Katz walking home from a meeting, to their first date at Norris, to the elaborately planned and beautiful proposal cliff side. I’m so happy to be celebrating their wedding, and I’m so excited to continue my friendship with each of them in this next chapter. I know there are many Chipotle bowls, glasses of wine, and late night laughs in the future!

Sam Madvig

Best Man

I met Katz in 2013 while attending Northwestern University. Though there were a few prior interactions, Katz and I really became close as pledge class members of Delta Sigma Pi and residents of Willard, the best dorm on campus. We bonded over internship interviews, Dillo Day, and poetry. Over the course of our college careers, we were there for each other at critical points in life; he edited my resume, and I helped him ask out the girl of his dreams. I’ve been extremely fortunate to watch Katz and Erin connect and fall in love over the last few years of college, and I'm so excited to be a part of the celebration of something a long time coming.

Sophie Stein

Bridesmaid

I met Erin on our first day of college at Northwestern. As a cynical Midwesterner, I was stunned by her ebullient optimism. We became fast friends in our introductory music classes, spending late nights practicing, playing in pit orchestras, and even writing duets of our own. Erin and I are complete opposites in the best way—her sunny disposition brightens my dark sense of humor, and her organized pragmatism balances out my occasionally impulsive creativity. Erin brings joy wherever she goes, and I’m lucky to have her in my life. I knew Katz was an ideal partner for Erin when I found out that he’d started eating gluten free shortly after they began dating. Katz is an incredibly kind, supportive person; he’s easygoing, generous, and a great conversationalist. He and Erin make a perfect pair. I’m so grateful to be part of their wedding celebration, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them both.

Groomsman

I met Kathir in 2007 through classmates at Kennedy Middle School. We quickly became close friends through various school activities, including a weeklong camping trip to Yosemite. In the years since then, Kathir and I have shared countless hikes, Caltrain commutes, and red wine nights hanging out together. Even despite his best efforts to escape his Bay Area roots by moving to the midwest and rebranding to “Katz”, our friendship is still going strong 15 years later. I have seen the joy that Erin brings to Kathir's life and I'm so excited to celebrate the two of them!

Sheilly Girasol

Bridesmaid

Erin and I met during our first week at Northwestern and instantly became friends. From late night study sessions to impromptu dance parties in the tiny room we shared sophomore year in our sorority house, time we spent together was always filled with fun and laughter. Although we've mostly lived in different cities after college, we've always found time to visit each other and travel together. I'm so honored to have witnessed Erin & Katz's relationship grow through the years. They are two of the smartest, kindest, and most passionate people I know, and I'm incredibly lucky to have friends like them.

Alec Blumenthal

Groomsman

I met Katz and Erin at Northwestern, and since then I’ve been on a mission to follow them across the country — first living in the same building as Katz after school, then moving out to SF the same summer as them (including convincing Erin walking up Potrero hill every day wouldn’t be *that* bad). It’s been awesome spending time with them (and Nala) over the years, from amazing hikes with Katz in the Bay Area, to COVID wine nights on their porch in Chicago. I’m so excited to be there for their special day (even if that means gluten free cake?!), and I’m also excited to see what’s next for them and their relationship!

Tori Langas

Bridesmaid

I first met Erin as the “new kid” in second grade. She was the first person to greet me and I immediately gravitated towards her bubbly and adventurous personality. From catching crickets in the playground to sharing school lunches, we were able to set the foundation for a quirky and lifelong friendship. Through the years we bonded over band/orchestra drama and school crushes..and even when college put some distance between us, we were still able to laugh at life’s crazy plans through late night phone calls and texts. I still remember the day Erin called me about Katz and how excited she was about meeting someone who not only complements her in every possible way, but brings so much light into her life. I can’t wait for Erin and Katz’s happily ever after and this next chapter in their beautiful relationship!

Groomsman

I can't remember when I first met Kathir, but likely pretty soon after he was born. We overlapped in Chicago when he first went to college and have kept in close touch ever since. Despite the enormous and seemingly insurmountable age gap of five years, we've managed to find common ground. I am incredibly excited to see him and Erin get married and wish them the best!

Joy Basinger

Bridesmaid

Erin (and Katz!) welcomed me with open arms to our business fraternity, where we ended up making some of the best memories of college. She declared herself my “big,” and has been the highest quality friend and mentor ever since, and I’m so glad we were able to move to the Bay Area together. Erin has been there for me through all the highs and lows of job recruitment, relationship drama, and is one of the friends I know I can truly depend on. She is incredibly wise, strong, and caring and is truly the best match for Katz - I cannot wait to see her and Katz’s story continue to unfold!

Michael Forrest

Groomsman

Katz and I struck an immediate friendship during our first few weeks at Northwestern when we joined the same professional fraternity. Many of my favorite college experiences were shared with Katz, from speeding down Lake Shore Drive in a “fun trolley” to learning cricket in his dorm (I gave up after a few overs). We can’t seem to get away from each other, as both of us moved a few miles south to downtown Chicago after graduation (shout out 1111!), then 1,900 miles west to San Francisco two years later. I have been fortunate to see firsthand the evolution of Katz and Erin’s relationship since their fateful meeting, and can’t wait to celebrate their love and future soon!

Lauren Hisiger

Bridesmaid

While Erin and I first met in Math 290-1 fall quarter freshman year, our friendship really began fall quarter junior year. Before our first class for the Kellogg Certificate Program, Erin suggested that a group of us who I kind of knew all go to Einstein’s Bagels; for those of you who don’t know, Erin is gluten free and cannot eat bagels so she was truly just angling for friends. That breakfast was the start of a friendship filled with late night study sessions, MA themed nights, and 2 AM conversations on the streets of Evanston. Erin quickly went from a casual class acquaintance (thanks for the Econometrics Stata assignment answers) to an amazing friend. When I first heard about Katz, I only knew him as the guy who had kicked my friend out of a business club so was a little nervous about becoming his friend. However, I learned he was given a bad rep. Katz was actually one of the kindest and weirdest people I had ever met, enabling a friendship to be quickly formed. It’s been so exciting to watch Erin and Katz’s relationship grow from NU to Chicago and all the way to SF. I can’t wait to see where they go next!

Robert Bourret

Groomsman

I met Kathir (better known as Katz) on one of the first days of Wildcat Welcome at Northwestern. We quickly became good friends, especially as he basically taught me Econometrics. I was fortunate to meet Erin during my time at Northwestern too, and Katz and Erin have been a perfect fit since day one. I can't wait to celebrate their love and am beyond excited for their future together!

Sandie Xu

Bridesmaid

I met both Erin and Katz at Northwestern and couldn't imagine my life without them. From late nights in the study rooms to ~classy~ wine nights, Erin and Katz brightened up every moment. After college, we continued our adventures together in Chicago. I was lucky enough to live with Erin and get to know her even better - including learning that she loves to microwave potatoes at 2am. Though our friendship is long distance now, I know we will always be there for each other! As two of the kindest, smartest, and weirdest people I know, Erin and Katz are the perfect match. I'm so honored to have watched their relationship grow and am so excited to see what else is in store for their future.

Angelo Stekardis

Groomsman

Katz and I met in college through our girlfriends (now wife / fiance), who were both in ΔZ at Northwestern. We became closer after college when Katz and Erin moved to San Francisco, through trips to Napa, Super Bowl parties, and hanging out at the classiest SF bar, Butter. During Covid we bonded over raising pandemic puppies, and Nala and Bella became best friends through daily meetups at the local dog park.

Elianna Landau

Bridesmaid

I first developed a personal relationship with Erin during the standardized testing process required to apply to business school (the GMAT) which we took senior year in college. Since, we've celebrated together many milestones including joint birthdays, the start of MBA programs, and now weddings! I love my friendship with Erin for so many reasons, but what stands out most is serving as each other's confidants, her acting as my moving consultant (on several occasions), many sushi/Nando's dates, and wine nights! I also feel so lucky to have Katz as a friend as well, and through seeing how their relationship has evolved over the years, I know how strong they are as partners, and cannot wait to celebrate their love for each other!

Andre Jia

Groomsman

Kathir was one of my first friends at The Harker School; ever since 9th grade, we've been life-long learning together. In the ensuing years, I watched Kathir go from a neurotic Congressional debate captain to a relaxed econ consultant; I can only imagine the role Erin played in that transformation. I can't wait to celebrate their union this September.
