Barton Springs Pool
Take a swim in this natural spring pool that stays at a cool 70 degree fahrenheit all year long! If you have your googles bring them, as you might get to see the protected endangered salamanders who call this place home. Barton Springs Pool is located in Zilker Park, making this stop a must before taking a stroll over to the lawn or a hoping on a fun open air train to see the park. Chuy's
The original Chuy's Tex-Mex restaurant is something you can't miss out on! Known for its "funky" kitschy decor including Elvis shrines, hubcaps and dangling fish from the ceiling, the "big as yo' face" burritos! Not to mention our picture that is featured on the wall! Don't forget to order the creamy jalapeño dip and a frozen swirl margarita.
Terry Black's Barbecue
One of the best and most famous spots in Austin to get Texas style BBQ! Known for its slow-smoked meats cooked for hours over wood. We enjoy the beef ribs and turkey straight from the pit. If there is a long line, don't worry, it moves fast!
South Congress Street
South Congress is one of Austin’s most iconic streets, packed with quirky boutiques, vintage shops, coffee spots, western gear, and music venues. It’s a great place to walk around, people watch, catch some live music and get a snapshot of the city’s creative, slightly weird personality. The famous "I Love You So Much" mural and "Welcome to Austin" mural are also is on this street.
See The Bats on Congress Bridge

Comedy Mothership
Comedy Mothership is one of Austin’s hottest comedy clubs, owned by Joe Rogan and located right on Sixth Street downtown. It’s known for hosting a mix of big-name comedians (like Rogan, Tony Hinchcliffe, and other touring pros) and up-and-coming comics, with multiple shows most nights. If you’re planning to go, tickets often sell out fast, so it’s best to buy in advance and expect a no-phones policy during shows to keep the experience focused on the comedy.
Night Life on Sixth Street
If you are looking for night life, 6th street is the place. 6th Street is a long street that stretches downtown Austin from West to East! You may hear people speak about 6th street in many different terms, all have different vibes: Central 6th Street, also known as "Dirty 6th", is the most iconic street for wild night life and live music. At night, the street closes to traffic and fills up with crowds hopping between bars, with loud music and neon lights. East 6th Street is the place to be if you are looking for less of a party-vibe and more chill bar scene. It is the most laid-back and local-feeling of the three, with a creative, artsy edge. West 6th Street is a more polished nightlife area with trendier bars, lounges, and a slightly upscale crowd. You’ll find better cocktails, dressier outfits, and more of a sophisticated party atmosphere.
