First and foremost, we would like to give Glory to the Lord for His kindness and great love for us. We have the ability to love because He first loved us. Thank you Jesus, the source of our joy and every good thing. Through His divine plan and perfect timing, He has crossed our paths and blessed us with the gift of friendship and marriage for a lifetime. The story begins June 2023 at around 5:00am on a random Tuesday morning. At this point, I have been living in Charlotte for a whole four days and Joe wakes up early as he can’t sleep. He grabs his phone and scrolls through the dating app, Hinge. Besides sleeping, I couldn’t think of a better place for Joe to be at that moment because it was that moment the trajectory of our lives changed forever in the best way. A few messages were exchanged about church and hobbies. After viewing his profile again, I had decided to double text him a few hours later about the fact that I was currently wearing a Needtobreathe T-shirt. Joe would say that was the first moment he knew, and for me it was a few days later after our first date at Not Just Coffee. Our connection over coffee had led to Joe helping me settle into my new city, him introducing me to our people, and showing me the great state of North Carolina. Since that day, we have explored mountains, beaches and just about everything in between. We’ve attended sporting events, learned new things, gained a new family, and shared many pizzas along the way. Our love story is built on the foundation of Christ as our Cornerstone, and we can’t wait to see how he continues to write our story as “The Sullivans!”
