The Long Way Around Our story isn’t exactly a fairy tale of childhood sweethearts. In fact, for a long time, we were just two kids who happened to share a view of the same street. Growing up directly across from each other, we knew the basics: which house was which, what cars our parents drove, and that we were "the neighbor kids." We weren't inseparable best friends; we were just part of the neighborhood scenery. When Erin moved away at age 10, that was pretty much that. No dramatic goodbyes—just a moving truck and a decade of total silence. We went our separate ways, grew up, and completely forgot that our first "home" was only fifty feet apart. Fast forward through high school, college, and starting our adult lives. We both ended up at a mutual friend’s wedding, probably more interested in the open bar than finding "the one." But across a crowded reception, a weird sense of recognition kicked in. After a slightly hesitant, "Hello" the pieces started falling into place. What started as a funny coincidence turned into a conversation that lasted the rest of the night. It turns out, the kid from across the street had grown into someone pretty incredible. We spent ten years living parallel lives, only to finally meet properly right where we started: at a celebration of love. We may have missed out on being friends as kids, but we’re making up for lost time now and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
