Our Story in 2000 Characters or Less

We fell into a mutual weirdness

Upon meeting while studying for finals at Saint Lawrence Center, Erin thought Isaac was a weird hipster and Isaac thought Erin had too much energy. After school started up in January, Erin accompanied friends to a party and soon realized it was at Isaac’s house. They talked for hours about life, God & the Catholic conference they had both just attended. When Erin’s friends left she decided to stay a bit longer. Isaac let Erin borrow a jacket and walked her home, but was disappointed when the night ended with a high-five. Isaac got Erin’s number from a mutual friend and asked her to study together at the library. Upon arriving to the library Erin soon learned Isaac had what Linda, Erin’s mother, calls a *sparkle*. It turned out Isaac had exactly what Erin needed (he was good at chemistry and Erin needed help with chemistry). The chemistry continued to build as Erin’s chemistry grade rose and soon the two lovebirds were going to the library to "study" daily. On March 27, 2015 Isaac spelled “will you be my gf?” with Erin’s favorite candy. The two have since survived 2.5 years of distance and are as strong as a covalent bond. After a weekend spent with Erin’s family in October of 2016, Isaac was driving home to Lawrence and called his brothers to tell them he wanted Erin to be his wife. After buying the ring Isaac created a date competition to see who could take the other on the best date. On December 17th, 2016 even though there was a huge blizzard, Isaac planned the most magical day of Erin’s entire life. He took her to the library where he had a letter hidden. In the place where she became his girlfriend, he read her the second letter. Isaac nervously drove through the snow to take Erin to the top of the Oread where he placed the last envelope. As Isaac got to the end of his letter, with his trembling voice and tears running down his face, he tucked the letter away, reached in his pocket, and got down on one knee saying, “ Erin Elizabeth Collar, will you marry me?”
