In the Fall of 2023, Erin had just moved back to her hometown of Las Vegas from New York City. It was meant to be a temporary stop — 6 months max. While living with her sister, she downloaded the dating app Bumble just for fun. Ian had been living in Las Vegas for about a year at this point, having moved for work. During their October birthday weekends they matched with each other on the dating app. After a few rescheduled dates, they finally met for the first time on November 2, 2023 for dinner at Lotus of Siam in the Red Rock Casino. After dinner, Ian drove car-less Erin home — they joke that either it was love at first sight… or Erin is just a little too trusting. From that moment on, they became inseparable. Fast forward: Erin & Ian bought their first home together in April 2025, and on June 28, 2025, Ian popped the question after an Italian dinner date night and a walk along the water at Lake Las Vegas. What started as a “temporary stop” turned into a forever love.
