Erin's younger sibling, Jackie and Erin share a passion for learning, home improvement, and bowling. Jackie lives in Louisville, serving as a licensed clinical psychologist and co-founder of a community mental health service. Jackie and Erin recall fondly their childhood memories of swimming in the family pool, listening to their father's favorite gunslinger ballads on long car trips, and baking Nana's famous Spritz cookies at Christmas.
Melinda Roberts
Bridesmaid
Dr. Melinda Roberts, native Tennessean and Professor of Criminal Justice and Interim Dean of Liberal Arts at USI, initially met Erin in 2015 when Melinda was assigned to be her faculty mentor. Although Erin expected primarily to learn about the tenure process at USI, Melinda quickly pulled Erin into her fun and boisterous social circle. The ensuing years brought about many parties (themed and otherwise); trips to the drive-in, late nights downtown; game nights, jaunts to Indy, Nashville, New Orleans, and Louisville; and too many laughs to count.
Jarrett (Jay) Dennis
Best Man
Eric's younger brother Jay lives in Louisville with his son Tyler. Jay is a business agent for Teamsters Local 89, advocating for worker rights for more than a decade. He is an avid collector of Transformers, G.I. Joes, and vinyl records.
Garren Heeke
Officiant
Reverend Garren Heeke (The Rev, or G-Rex to his friends) began working with Eric at ARSgroup/Comscore in 2007, but it wasn't until they discovered their shared love of trivia in 2016 that the two really got to know each other. Over five years, hundreds of games, two road trips to New Orleans, and enough beer to fill a swimming pool, they became good friends. Erin doesn't love trivia quite so much, but she does love Eric, and that's almost as good. So, he was honored when Erin and Eric asked him to officiate their wedding. Reverend Heeke is an ordained member of the clergy in the Church of Spiritual Humanism, and in-between officiating weddings, he does boring things with numbers and PowerPoint and spends time with his wife Jamie, who happens to be a phenomenal wedding photographer.
