Things To Do

Welcome to San Antonio. We hope you enjoy your stay in our home. Manny and I have created a google map with our most favorite spots in the city for you. We will also highlight a few big spots below for you.

Pearl

303 Pearl Parkway, San Antonio, TX 78215

A redeveloped old brewery with lawn for kids to play, splashpad, restaurants, and bars. The spot of Manny and Erin's first date. On Saturday and Sunday morning they have a market. Saturday is a farmer's market and Sunday is the "Maker's Market" for artists. Our favorite stalls to eat at for the farmers market are The Nigerian stall, "Un Gwan Gway-Gway, The Empanada stall, the tamales stall "La Hacienda", and the fresh brewed lemonade stall. This is also a great spot for a night out and the bar inside of Hotel Emma is a must see. It also has riverwalk access. See our map for general recommendations at the Pearl.

Hemisfair Playground and Park

434 South Alamo Street, San Antonio, TX 78205

Hemisfair Park is located just off downtown by the Rivercenter Mall and the Convention Center. Located inside the park is great playground for kids, a splashpad for hot days, beautiful garden, Tower of the America's, and a few spots to eat. We like Lick Frozen Ice Cream and the CommonWealth Coffee House and Bakery.

Southtown Neighborhood

San Antonio, TX 78210

The Southtown neighborhood in San Antonio has a lot of great restaurants and bars and is very walkable. Some highlights inside this neighborhood there is the Blue Star Arts Complex, Bar 1919, Stella Public House, The King William Historic Home area, The Friendly Spot (An outdoor bar with a playground for kids- A San Antonio tradition), and Rosario's.
