Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We ask that you please be mindful of taking any photos during the ceremony -- we're paying a photographer for a reason and don't need to make her job any harder! After that, please feel free to take and post photos as much as you'd like! Just tag us in your posts so we don't miss them :]

What is the dress code? What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. We are asking that our guests please wear their Hogwarts house color! If you don't know your Hogwarts house, check out our favorite sorting quiz here: https://www.buzzfeed.com/eleanorbate/accurate-af-sorting-quiz

What weather should I expect?

Answer

It'll be January in New England, so it will be cold. We'll be indoors as much as physically possible!

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Shuttles will run from the Hampton Inn in Salem to take guests to The Mansion on Turner Hill for the ceremony and the reception, and to take guests back to Salem after the reception. The after party is taking place in downtown Salem, and is walking distance from both Hampton Inn and Hotel Salem.

Do I have to mail back my RSVP or can I RSVP online?

Answer

Either is totally fine!

Question

Can I bring kids to the wedding? Can I bring a +1?

Answer

We hope you understand that we are at capacity with our venue, and we will only be able to accommodate the number of people listed on your invitation.

What happens between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We'll be having a cocktail hour with light hors d'oeurves.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please be sure to list any dietary restrictions when you RSVP so we can work with our caterer to accommodate.

What is a welcome reception? Do I need to attend?

Answer

Since most of our guest list is traveling in from out of town for our wedding, we've opted to host a welcome reception the night before our wedding so that we can spend more time with our loved ones that we don't get to see often. This event is totally optional, please don't feel like you need to plan your travel around attending, but if you are here, we'd love to spend some extra time with you!
