Drew and Erin met in April 2011 on Erin's first day at West Lake Middle School. Drew introduced himself the only way he knew how- by completely embarrassing himself! Drew and Erin had a short "fling" in the 7th grade before calling it quits and deciding to be just friends. Fast forward to June 2013, with all the 8th graders looking for a date to the formal. When Erin's crush didn't ask her, she agreed to go with Drew, as long as he agreed it would just be "as friends". Drew's persistence and sweet heart persuaded Erin to give him a chance, and, ever since the 8th grade formal, the two have been inseparable!
Drew and Erin got engaged on November 30, 2019, surrounded by Drew's whole family and lots of dogs! Drew spent months planning a thoughtful proposal and decided to incorporate a Pescaro family tradition into the engagement. Each year at Christmas, Drew's parents gift each of their kids a unique ornament that represents something they did or accomplished that year. Since Erin has been around the Pescaro family for years, she eventually became part of the ornament experience. Once it was Erin's turn, she unwrapped an ornament that said "First Christmas Engaged" and looked up to see Drew down on one knee in front of her! Drew is known for spoiling surprises but he was able to pull this one off without Erin catching on!
