We're getting married!

Darren and Erin first crossed paths in May 2019... We had both tried dating, but didn't have success- so then came online dating. We ended up messaging back and forth about adventuring outdoors, music we liked, mutual friendships we shared, and places we had traveled in the world. The big big moment would be when we actually committed to talking in person on our first date. Mexican food was our favorite so we split the difference in miles from Scappoose to Newberg and picked a restaurant. The date lasted 4+ hours! Erin’s roommate at the time, Megan Parks, called Erin a couple hours in to make sure that everything was okay if not that she could come to the rescue. Erin let her know that the date was going great (all in code of course) to make sure that Darren didn't catch on. A couple months later on July 4th, Darren would take Erin up to a piece of family property and under the fireworks in sky, he would ask her to be his girlfriend. Of course she said yes! The Proposal... Darren found an elk antler in the March of 2021. He had bought a ring a few months prior but was waiting for the perfect moment. In April, we planned a trip to our good friends ranch in Eastern Oregon to look for shed antlers. Little did Erin know, Darren planted the antler he had found in March on a ridge with a view of the valley and our friends hid in the trees waiting to capture the moment. Needless to say, Erin walked up on an antler with a little sparkle hanging off of it and her jaw dropped. She cried and said of course and the rest is history.
