I remember being a freshman in high school and walking past a very tall, handsome blue-eyed boy. I then went to a football game and told my girlfriends that this senior boy was so cute and we found him in the sports magazine like the little detectives/weirdos we were, and the name Damyan Edwards is what we found. I never dared to say anything because I was a freshman and he, at the time, had a girlfriend, so I left it at that and admired from a very, very far distance. Years passed, and we both graduated from school. Since we were both single, I sent him a text, and the rest was history. The moment I knew I loved this man was something as simple as driving to a Cardinals game for a date and listening to the song "Dancing in the Moonlight" by King Harvest. I felt such warmth and happiness and knew I loved this man with everything in my body and soul. I can't wait for you guys to join us for the start of a new beginning to our forever.
A day that was supposed to be about Dayman's graduation and he turned it around and proposed to me. My heart felt so much joy I couldn't help but cry like a baby. I still remember standing outside and wondering why everyone was gathering around then I saw my best friend carrying my favorite dessert. A cookie cake that said, "Mrs. Edwards? Turn around." My heart was racing all I could say was "Really?!?" I couldn't believe it. You really like me? You want to marry me? I almost forgot to say yes I couldn't believe it was really happening. Obviously, I said yes. I couldn't have asked for a better proposal surrounded by the people we love. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
