Erin and I tend to encourage those around us to not ask where we’ve been, but where we’re going. With that being said, you nosy fools won’t take that for an answer, so here’s the story. We met in 2018. Erin was getting ready for Grad School and I was a Territory Manager for Standard. We met at Loca Luna and Erin was sure she’d never see me again. Yada yada, we stayed in touch. Our first official date, and possibly one of the best dates ever, was to Magic Springs Amusement Park in Hot Springs. Ricky Scaggs was playing a concert, so yes, we went to a water park. They also have roller coasters, which I hate, but Erin loves. She convinced me to ride a roller coaster (on which I found God), we discovered a new favorite song, and Ricky Scaggs sang directly to us. There was also a slight rain storm to add onto the perfect day. The rest, as they say, is history. Erin moved in on March 20th, 2020. Yes, right when COVID lock-downs set in. If we could survive that, we can survive anything. Thank goodness for Tiger King. We bond over the fact that we’re both 80-years-old on the inside (although I’m not convinced Erin isn’t a 150-year old witch). We enjoy bluegrass, old country music, antiques, birds, travel, and sports...it would be awfully tough for us to get along if Erin didn’t like sports and wasn’t so dang good at callin’ the Hogs. We’ve taken vacations to Idaho, Mexico, New York, all of North Carolina, beaches, mountains and more. Erin and I have so much in common and have made more memories than I have the patience to remember or type up. Just know that we are perfect for each other and she makes me want to be better every day. So don’t ask us where we’ve been, ask us where we’re going!
