During our sophomore year of high school, we were both in the same gym class. If you ask Brody, he'll remind you that we were also in the same history class and Latin class our freshman year... but, in his words, I was too cool to notice him then. It may have taken a year, but notice him I did! Though we seemed to have nothing in common – Brody shy and quiet and myself social and loud – we really liked each other. For me, he was willing to go outside. For him, I was willing to stay in. Months turned into years and before we knew it, we had gone to prom together, graduated high school together, and would be heading off to college. Brody commuted to NJIT while I dormed at Rutgers. We saw each other every other weekend and continued to fall in love through movie dates and seasonal adventures. The next thing we knew, we were celebrating another graduation by each other's side. (Well, emotionally. Physically, we were socially distanced at that time.) When Brody got his first full-time job in his field, we moved into a one bedroom apartment and began navigating our new-found adult lives together. When I got my first full-time job in my field, we upgraded to a two bedroom apartment in the same complex and became co-workers, because although we worked at different companies, we both worked 100% from home. Our little life together was blossoming as we shared practically every meal together and many, many walks around the apartment complex hand in hand. On our ten year anniversary trip, I experienced the intimate and romantic proposal of my dreams as Brody asked me to marry him while we were star gazing. Of course I said yes! We've experienced so much of life together already and are incredibly blessed that we get to continue to do so. Thank you for joining us for our wedding day – we couldn't be more excited to become husband and wife!
