Lake of the Isles
Our favorite for a stroll! The loop around the lake is just under 3 miles and so pretty. Lots of dogs and a dog park along the way. Ducks and maybe even a red-tailed hawk sighting. Great for if you brought your 'blades, too.
Walker Art Center
Such a lovely modern art museum, and especially beautiful for walking through the sculpture garden on a pretty summer day and up the winding hill path. Esker Grove is a restaurant in the museum that's great for a rosé or Arnie Palmer mid-journey.
CC Club
Our absolute favorite dive bar. Have some grape ape shots and play some tunes.
First Avenue
Legendary First Avenue night club. Home of Purple Rain.
Bde Maka Ska
Walk down to the docks to rent paddleboats, canoes, and stand-up-paddleboards for a little lake adventure. (White Claws not included, but recommended). City Lake Life at it's best!
Stone Arch Bridge
A beautiful walk over the Mississippi from downtown MPLS to Northeast MPLS day or night!
Colita
The Pool Boy is the best drink in town, hands down. Also get the lobster tostada.
Young Joni
One of our favorites for dinner and where we went the night we got engaged. The chili prawns! The tavern pie! Really everything. You can get a classic photo booth picture taken (our engagement photo is SOMEWHERE tacked up on the wall but we can't find it anymore). And there's a great little bar in the alley behind the restaurant.

Great for breakfast and brunch! Located in Minneapolis' Uptown area. A more casual scene.
Hyacinth
Charming little restaurant with handmade pasta and excellent drinks. If you plan to dabble in St. Paul (where our house is now!) Hyacinth is our favorite.
Summit Avenue
Summit Avenue in St. Paul is the longest stretch of Victorian homes in the United States. It's a beautiful stretch to walk or drive from the Mississippi to the Cathedral.
Smack Shack
Fresh (daily flown in!) lobster rolls for lunch (they also have a good brunch or dinner!). Casual, easy spot located in Minneapolis' North Loop.
The 1029 Bar
Great dive bar with pull tabs. They serve the same fresh lobster rolls and fries that Smack Shack serves in a dive bar setting. Pair with a grape ape shot for best experience ;) Located in Minneapolis' Northeast neighborhood.
Revival MPLS
Amazing fried chicken, smoked meats, biscuits, and mac and cheese. A great spot for chicken and waffles brunch, too! The St. Paul location has great cocktails, but you can get a glass (or bottle!) of the JazzyBelle bubbly no matter which spot you pick. <3
