We're finally doing it!

We met freshman year in anatomy class—maybe it was fate, the fluorescent lighting, or the formaldehyde, but something just clicked. By sophomore year, on a lovely September 12th, our friendship turned into something more, and our adventure officially began. Over the years, we’ve called Colorado, Utah, and Indiana home. We did long distance for three years (lots of airport hugs and phone calls), until Erin moved to Utah while Beto finished his teaching degree. In 2020, while up camping—just the two of us, music playing and stars overhead—Beto proposed as we danced by the campfire. It was quiet, sweet, and perfectly us. Less than a year later, Beto followed Erin to Indiana for grad school. Through it all, we’ve been each other’s person—laughing through the chaos, showing up for the big stuff and the small stuff, and always being that unwavering support for each other. Fourteen years, three states, and countless adventures later... we’re finally doing this thing. And we couldn’t be happier. We can’t wait to celebrate with all the people who’ve been part of our journey. 💛 Beto & Erin

Nos conocimos en primer año en la clase de anatomía; quizá fue el destino, la luz fluorescente o el formaldehído, pero algo simplemente conectó. Para el segundo año universidad, un hermosa 12 de septiembre, nuestra amistad se convirtió en algo más y nuestra aventura comenzó oficialmente. A lo largo de los años, hemos considerado Colorado, Utah e Indiana nuestro hogar. Mantuvimos relaciones a distancia durante tres años (muchos abrazos en el aeropuerto y llamadas telefónicas), hasta que Erin se mudó a Utah mientras Beto terminaba su carrera de maestro. En 2020, mientras acampábamos —solos los dos, con música y estrellas en el cielo—, Beto me propuso matrimonio mientras bailábamos junto a la fogata. Fue un momento tranquilo, suave y perfecto para nosotros. Menos de un año después, Beto siguió a Erin a Indiana para que ella pueda seguir la escuela de posgrado. A lo largo de todo, hemos sido el uno para el otro: riéndonos en medio del caos, estando presentes en las cosas grandes y pequeñas, y siempre apoyándonos incondicionalmente. Catorce años, tres estados e innumerables aventuras después... por fin lo logramos. Y no podríamos estar más felices.
