FAQs

We are so incredibly excited to celebrate our wedding weekend with you in downtown Wilmington! To help you plan your trip and make the weekend as seamless as possible, we’ve rounded up answers to some of the most common questions about logistics, travel, and attire. If there is anything else you need to know that isn't covered below, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly. We can't wait to see you soon!
Question

What is the event schedule?

Answer

Specifics are on the way! We recommend staying Wednesday, Nov 11 to Sunday, Nov 15, so you can soak up the weather and explore beautiful Wilmington.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable but classy! Women are encouraged to wear dresses or elegant pantsuits. For men, dress slacks and a button-down dress shirt are perfect—a sports coat is preferred but entirely optional. Ladies, please no white dresses!

Question

How do I get to the venue, and is there parking?

Answer

You can find street parking and paid lots right around the venue (just keep in mind they all require a fee). That said, if you’re booking a room through our hotel block, you’re just a short, 10-minute walk away.

Question

Is there a hotel block available?

Answer

We have secured a block of rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott Wilmington Downtown/Historic District from November 11th through November 15th. It is located right in the heart of the historic district at 229 North 2nd Street. The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk to the venue. Use this link to book your room: https://app.marriott.com/resview2?id=1780454352142&key=GRP&app=resvlink If there are no rooms left in the room block, reach out to Erin (315-399-6941), and she will ask the hotel to add more rooms. Please book your room before October 16th, 2026! Other Hotels If you wish to stay at a different hotel, there are many great options in the area! Below are ones that are walkable to the venue. - ARRIVE Wilmington - Dreamers B&B - Hampton Inn Wilmington Downtown - Hotel Ballast Wilmington, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Question

Will the events be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our venue offers the best of both worlds with lovely indoor and outdoor spaces. The weather this time of year is usually a perfect 60 to 70°F, so we plan to host both our ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors. Afterward, we’ll move inside for dinner and dancing—though the outdoor courtyard will remain open all night with its own bar, making it the perfect spot to take a break and chill!

Question

How do I communicate dietary restrictions or food allergies?

Answer

If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please text them to Erin directly at 315-399-6941.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, the drinks are on us! The bar will be fully stocked, but cash tips for our incredible bartenders are always appreciated.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We have chosen to keep our wedding small and intimate so we can truly connect and spend quality time with our closest family and friends. Because of this, we can only accommodate the guests explicitly named on your invitation. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, kids are welcome! We only ask that if they are crying during the ceremony, you excuse yourselves. If we have forgotten a child on an invitation, please text Erin at 315-399-6941 letting her know.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’ve hired an amazing photography team so that you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the moment with us. We kindly ask that all phones and cameras remain put away until the reception.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, a contribution to our honeymoon fund, home fund, or a selection from our registry would be greatly appreciated. To navigate to our registry, click "Registry" in the main navigation.
