Andrew and Erin met at the worst job in history. The day Andrew walked in, Erin saw him and thought that he was cute and mysterious. When Andrew saw Erin, he told the coworkers around him that Erin was going to be his girlfriend (they had never spoke.) Andrew took Erin wearing a Van Halen T-shirt as the segue way into asking her out by asking Erin what songs she knew (none) and then Andrew invited Erin to listen to some of their songs. Fyi: They still haven't listened to any of their songs 6+ years later.
Our favorite trip we have ever taken was when we went to The Cavalier at Virginia Beach. Andrew surprised Erin with a majorly upgraded hotel. We were served champagne as we walked through the door and things just kept getting better from there! Erin's favorite part of the trip was the poolside bar and the escort to the beach club. Andrew enjoyed the deep history of the hotel and exploring!
Andrew's proposal to Erin was completely unexpected! In the morning Andrew took Erin to the Birkdale Village Ice Rink where they went on a date. Everyone was asked to leave the rink so that they could Zamboni it and Erin and Andrew waited patiently to be let back on the ice with everyone else. However, before everyone could get on the rink the employees said that only people with complementary tickets could get on the ice (of course Erin and Andrew were the only two with the "complementary" tickets. They skated around the Ice while Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love' played on the speakers. Andrew felt like he was about to do the biggest thing ever and Erin was completely oblivious. All at once, the screen displayed "Erin, Will you marry me?" and Andrew got down on to one knee. Obviously, Erin said yes and then was very surprised to see both of their families there to watch and congratulate them. It was unforgettable.
