Are children welcome at your wedding?

Answer

While we love all our friends' children, we are only able to accommodate children of immediate family. All of the events are geared toward adults, and the two children at the event will have family helping care for and watch them. We hope that this advance notice still allows you to celebrate with us!

What time should I arrive to the venue?

Answer

We will begin the ceremony at 4pm, so we recommend guests arrive by 3:45.

What should I wear to the welcome reception?

Answer

Please feel free to focus on comfort over fashion as this will be a casual event. The bride and groom might dress up a bit, but jeans are more than welcome!

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will be semi-formal, cocktail attire. Think slacks and a jacket, dresses, etc. Mainly, we want all of our guests to be comfortable. Our wedding will be peak spring, so feel free to wear bright colors if you'd like. The cocktail reception will be in the pavilion and on the lawn, so we encourage those wanting to wear heels to opt for block heels. The ceremony and cocktail reception will be outside, but the reception is indoors - so don't worry about lasting hours in the DC heat!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know about any food allergies when you RSVP! We can also accommodate vegetarians with notice.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

In order to give our guests flexibility in their accommodations, we aren't suggesting guests stay at a particular hotel. Uber and Lyft are common in the area, and we encourage you to order your ride in advance if that makes sense for you.

I'm excited to party! How late will this go?

Answer

The wedding will end at 10pm, but we are planning after party events - please RSVP to any additional events you can attend.

What's this about a cigar bar?

Answer

Our venue has an expansive courtyard with a separate structure that serves as a cigar and whiskey bar. Open until after midnight, we will move there briefly following the reception (weather permitting, the inside is small!).

I'm excited to celebrate, but I need to be in bed before midnight. Am I expected at the after party?

Answer

We imagine the after party as a low key continuation of our event that will allow us to spend more time with loved ones we don't often get to see. Please feel free to skip this after a big day of eating, drinking, and dancing - but we would love to have you!

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are so grateful to our friends and family for traveling to celebrate with us, and a gift is not necessary! If you would still like to provide a gift, we have registered for experiences for our honeymoon.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Clyde's Willow Creek Farm, which has a large parking lot.
