We're getting married!

It all started in a rehab clinic, where we both worked as physical therapy aides. Alek had been there for a while and Erin had just started her first "big girl" job right out of college- timid, shy and figuring it all out. Alek, on the other hand, was full of energy, confidence and humor. He immediately made an impression. Our first "hangout" wasn't exactly planned. What began as a casual work event- wine and painting- somehow turned into one of those legendary nights that you can't make up. The night ended with Alek's car on Erin's front lawn and that story has been retold by family and friends ever since (you'll probably hear it again at the wedding). Not long after, we took a spontaneous trip to Philly. Erin insisted to her friends it wasn't a date...but they clearly knew better. Alek had planned a full day of activities, but one by one, everything fell through. We ended up at Evil Genius Brewery, where we spent hours talking, laughing and realizing how easy everything felt between us. When Erin went to the bathroom, Alek's friend asked him, "So what's the problem? Why aren't you asking her out?" Eventually, he did- and our first official date was in NYC at Mad Dog and Beans. Tequila shots may or may not have been involved (Alek's idea, trying to impress). From there, everything just clicked. We dated in secret for a bit at work, grew in our careers, and later moved to Jersey City together- a place that now means even more to us. And in the most perfect full-circle moment, Alek proposed at Evil Genius Brewery, in the very same spot where our story truly began.
