On a rare clear evening of SF, two little bees had their lives changed for ever when the stars aligned when Abhishek and Erin decided to swipe right on Bumble (a dating app). Their first date began at the lovely Botanical Gardens and was supposed to be a “LIGHT” stroll (the date became a 5 mile training for Erin's subsequent Teton Trail backpacking trip) through Golden Gate Park. After a magical evening of nonstop conversation, yummy Indian food, and a stroll along the Embarcadero which ended with these 2 love birds staring at the beautiful, night-time animations of the Bay bridge, the young couple decided to continue to see each other and see where things go. While Abhishek was an open book with nothing to hide, Erin was hiding something which would haunt Abhishek for the rest of his life. A “”SWEET LOOKING”, “EXCEPTIONALLY WELL TRAINED” dog named Remi. From guarding the house using extremely concentrated shrill high pitched barks when everyone was awake to stretching out to twice her size when sleeping at night on Abhishek’s side of the bed, Remi quickly established herself as the cornerstone of this budding relationship. However, as time passed and Erin and Abhishek’s love for each other grew stronger, it soon became clear to the young couple that none of San Francisco’s apartment complexes were large enough to handle REMI’s larger than life personality and big bark energy. Hence the young couple set out to a find a place of their own. With Erin and Remi directing the Real Estate operations from their high tech command center at Laguna Niguel (because of covid :( ) and Abhishek acting as the Bane like mask wearing field agent (for covid protection), the search began to find the perfect home. With a lot of convincing from Alameda’s most amazing couple (Erin’s brother Kevin and sister in law Jessica) and after befriending a real estate agent (Kim) whom our heroes initially kept losing to, they were finally able to find a place that they could call home at 2657 5th Street, Alameda. After almost 2 months of ups and downs in one of the craziest housing market seen in decades, the awesome trio finally moved into their humble abode on March 4th, 2022. Months of working from home together, several trips, Netflix, cleaning and meal prep sessions later, the young coupled decided to finally make their relationship official. And hence, on September 11th 2022, after receiving blessings from the lovely Diane and Pete (Erin’s parents) and the amazing Neelam and Amitabh (Abhishek’s parents), Abhishek finally decided to propose to Erin in the most Silicon valley-ish way possible - by buying Erin Apple products. That brings us to today.
