In December of 2021, Sydney had posted some pictures of Erin on Snapchat, and Darian was an acquaintance of hers and saw the pictures. He thought the pictures were beautiful and decided to ask Sydney for her friend's name so that he could talk to her. A few weeks go by, and Erin and Darian have been texting each other daily, when Sydney invites Erin to a New Year's party she is hosting. Erin decides to invite Darian to attend the party with her. They spent the whole night talking and getting to know each other. That same night, Darian would ask Erin to be his girlfriend.
