After both attending college in Indiana, Danny and Erin moved to Indianapolis where they met through a postgraduate business fellowship. After almost a year of friendship, Danny and Erin had their first date on St. Patrick’s Day of 2021!

With Erin growing up in the Twin Cities metro and Danny in the Chicago suburbs, they each have spent plenty of time getting to know each other’s heritages. Despite dueling Erin’s family over NFC North football, Danny has embraced Minnesota — becoming an avid lover of walleye and the Minnesota State Fair. You can even find him sporting a University of Minnesota crewneck! Erin on the other hand adopted the Chicago Cubs as her baseball team, but still hasn’t gotten used to Chicago drivers.

After joining the Cozad family for their annual Florida trip in 2022, Danny saw no better opportunity to pop the question than under the palm trees in 2023! Thanks to help from Erin’s Mom and sister Rose, Danny coordinated the engagement to take place at the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo, FL. After Erin said yes, Danny’s parents and Erin’s sister and brother-in-law surprised her, as they were not in Florida prior with the group. Surrounded by both families, Danny and Erin were overjoyed and celebrated with a seafood dinner at Florida famous Crabby Bill’s.
