Connor first heard mention of Erin on a Monday in the Spring of 2017. It was just after her twenty-first birthday weekend when Kate, Erin’s childhood best friend (and now bridesmaid!), walked into the classroom at DePaul that she shared with Connor and began telling him about her weekend visiting her friend at the University of Kentucky for her birthday celebration. After showing him some pictures from the party, Connor affectionately named Erin, “Kate’s hot friend”. He didn’t know at the time that this was the same girl who would later steal his heart and make him the luckiest man alive. Fast forward two years when Erin had moved to Chicago to pursue her Master's degree at Loyola University, living with Kate in Lakeview. Erin started to experience enough late nights out with Connor to “un-affectionately" name him, "Kate's immature friend”. She didn’t know at the time that this was the same boy whom she would later say "I love you" to (first!) in the Jewel-Osco parking lot while on a classic White Claw run. The turning point in their relationship? It didn’t come from Connor’s irresistible charm or Erin’s otherworldly beauty. It came from Hinge. While Connor was aimlessly scrolling through the app, Erin's profile flashed on his screen as a suggested match based on Hinge's "Most Compatible" feature. It took a few half-joking back and forth banters about the possibility before they eventually decided to test the theory. After some not-so-obvious attempts at flirting, Connor asked Erin to be his date to his company's holiday party, and the rest, as they say, is history. After three years of dates, dog parks and Cubs' games, the couple got engaged on December 7th, 2022. They can’t wait for June 29th, 2024, to celebrate their marriage with all of their loved ones.
