Erin and Carson were introduced by their mutual friends, Hannah and Chris, while they were living in Orange County. Carson was hosting a "kick-back" at his apartment and Erin had a premonition she was going to meet someone special (no joke)! Erin was taken by Carson's sense of humor and Carson still remembers making eye contact with Erin for the first time. And folks, the rest is history.

Carson succeeded in surprising Erin with his proposal! Erin always assumed she would figure it out beforehand. As a decoy, Carson suggested they go hiking in Malibu to celebrate his birthday. While overlooking the ocean mid-hike, Carson got down on one knee and Erin ugly-cried tears of joy. After she said yes, Carson mentioned he had the whole day planned (what a guy)! They got a couples massage and ate dinner at Ojai Valley Inn. A perfect day, indeed.

2020 was a year of growth and introspection for Erin and Carson. Halfway through the year, Carson told Erin that he wanted to convert to Judaism. Even though Erin was surprised, she was extremely supportive of his decision to do so. After more than 6 months of Jewish literacy classes, personal exploration, and long discussions with his rabbi, Carson officially converted earlier this year. Get ready for the hora!
