We Are Eloping!

We first met in college as teammates on a medium-performing intramural basketball team. In the off-season, we attended a T-Pain concert, played Rock Band, and played on a very low-performing softball team (0 wins, 2 mercy rules). Our friendship intensified once Erin discovered Kenny's valuable assets; namely, a car, a TV, and lots of soft pretzels. Almost a year later, we spontaneously ventured out to have a midnight picnic in the Cornell Botanic Gardens. Due to no planning whatsoever, this turned into a 6-mile hike in the pitch-black, freezing cold darkness. Once we reached the overlook, there was an unexpected spark as we ate the ice cream that we had brought along with us, and we started dating shortly afterwards.

Two summers ago, we decided to head back to Ithaca and Cornell to revisit some of our favorite haunts and hikes. After a week of chasing waterfalls and visiting every single Finger Lake, Kenny was persistent about ending the trip by returning to the Botanic Gardens for a late night picnic. Armed with ice cream from the Cornell Dairy -- and a much better understanding about where to park the car -- we returned to where our relationship began. We sat together, admired the stars, and then Kenny popped the question.
