Question

What is the proper tipping etiquette for an all-inclusive resort?

Answer

Tipping is not required but recommended to guarantee top-notch service. Tips can be in both US dollars (no coins) and/or pesos. Most of your tips will be small bills, and I have provided an outline below of what is customary. Transfer from airport: $2-$5 per person Bellman: $1-3 per bag Full Service Meal/Sit-down Restaurant: $5 per person Quick Service/Buffet: Optional, or $1 per person if there is a waiter and/or a dedicated bartender delivering your drinks Bartenders: $1 per visit to the bar. If you are spending multiple hours at the same bar and/or ordering for a group of five or more, a $5-10 tip will ensure faster service. Salon Services: 10% of the bill Maid Service: Up to $5 per day Excursion Tour Guides: $5-10 per person Resort Staff for Included Activities: Optional; $1-3 per person to the artist/yoga instructor/mixologist/sommelier, etc. If you want to use bigger bills, you can tip for the group at the beginning or end of the visit to the bar as well. I hope this helps in your planning process!

Question

Is there a dress code at Unico 20°87°?

Answer

There is not a dress code, but pack both beachwear and dressier resort wear. Plan on dressing casually for daytime activities and eateries, and more chic and elevated for dinner. If you are planning on going straight from the pool or beach to a lunch spot, be sure to wear a cover-up. It is a faux pas to wear a swimsuit to one of the restaurants. After sunset, people will dress a little more stylish and sophisticated.

Question

What is the dress code for dinner at the restaurants?

Answer

Smart casual attire. For gentlemen, collared shirts are required, and sleeveless shirts or tank tops are not permitted.

Question

Do the hotel restaurants take reservations? Can you schedule spa and beauty treatments?

Answer

Yes, the restaurants/spa facilities on property do take reservations through the mobile app or through the Concierge. Here are links to download the app: For Google/Androids https://play.google.com/store/search?q=rcd&c=apps&utm_source=na_Med For Apple https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rcd-hotel/id1561724352

Question

What items should not go in my checked luggage during International Travel?

Answer

Similarly to domestic travel, all valuables including jewelry and any expensive equipment (cameras, laptops, etc.) should be on your person or in your carry-on bag. Please be sure to pack all medications and important documents in your bag that you are taking with you into the airport cabin, as well.

Question

Do I need to bring an adapter for my phone/laptop charger?

Answer

No, Mexico uses the same outlets as America.
