We matched on Hinge in early July of 2020. After a couple weeks of chatting and a few phone calls, we met on the Litchfield Green on July 24. Erika walked into town early and waited for Anthony on a bench by the town's war memorials. We walked through town, ordered pizzas from Ollies, had a picnic, and talked about our jobs as educators.

On the morning of our 1-year anniversary, we visited the Dutch Epicure Shop, picked up pastries for breakfast, and drove over to the Litchfield Green. We sat on the same bench where Erika was waiting for Anthony one year before, and after finishing our treats, Anthony proposed.
