We are saying i do!

Allan and Erika first met at San Diego State University in 2012. Allan worked at the fried chicken restaurant that Erika happened to pick as her weekly campus meal. Allan started to notice Erika's routine, along with how pretty she was, and always greeted her with a big smile and some extra pieces of chicken. He eventually asked her if she wanted to study together after he got off, to which Erika said yes to. There was an exchanging of information and an immediate attraction, but things didn't work out romantically at the time.

The two of them still agreed to be friends and remained cordial with one another; so much so, that in 2015 Allan referred Erika to a job at the company he worked for. Seeing at the time they were strictly friends, and with the initial romance a few years old, he felt comfortable recommending her. The proximity enabled both to realize that their chemistry never withered and that being in each others' lives felt right, romantically or not. They started carpooling and working out together, and were always laughing and joking. Towards the end of January 2016, they decided the feelings they had for each other were worth exploring.

From then on, they dated secretly as they worked together for the next year and a half. They travelled internationally together for the first time that summer, when Allan went to visit Erika at the end of her volunteer adventure in Peru. It did not take them long to realize they loved each other. In August of 2017, Allan and Erika started a long distance relationship due to Erika beginning Pharmacy school at Washington State University. The next 3 years were laden with Facetime/Netflix dates and weekend trips to see each other whenever their schedules allowed. Although the distance was a challenge, they both took pride in how they were able to overcome relationship growing pains and how they were truly committed to each other. In 2018, Allan knew that Erika was the woman he was going to marry. After a trip to the jeweler (and a lot of help from his sisters to pick the perfect ring), he asked Erika's parents for their permission over dinner. With their blessing, the engagement was planned to happen during a family trip to Seattle. Allan knew Erika wanted her loved ones present for the engagement, so he decided this trip would be perfect as they were all together. At the top of the Space Needle, Allan got down on one knee and asked Erika to marry him. Fast forward to now, with a Masters, PharmD and a Kona later, they are beyond excited to begin this new phase in their lives and to celebrate their love with all of you.
