Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

Wake up before the sun and go and watch the hot air balloons take off and fill the sky. This fiesta is the world's largest Hot Air Balloon Festival with over 500 hot air balloons. Happening Oct 4-12, 2025.

If you don't want to wake up before the sun you can go and watch the Albuquerque International Hot Air Balloons all Light up on the field in front of you in the evening.
Sandia Peak Tramway

If you don't mind heights (unlike Erik) the Sandia Peak Tramway is a fun way to get to the top of the Sandia Mountains and overlook the City of Albuquerque, or do some hiking at the top.
