We plan to spend as much time outside as possible! Our Friday night welcome event and Saturday ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside. Our Saturday reception will be under a tent.
In May, Stockton Springs starts to shake off the chill and ease into spring! The average high is around 68°F (20°C) and the average low is about 48°F (9°C)—though temperatures in New England can certainly vary. Since the wedding events will be held on the water, you can expect a cool coastal breeze, especially in the afternoon and early evening—so we recommend bringing some layers just in case!
We strongly recommend getting a rental car since Uber/Lyft are not readily available. This will allow you to easily explore the area and enjoy what Maine has to offer. All of our wedding festivities will be held at French's Point. We will be providing transportation from the recommended hotels on Saturday.
Yes! There’s plenty of parking available at the estate. When you arrive, just follow the signs for Guest Parking, located to the right of the Retreat House.
For Friday, think Coastal chic. Gents: Dress pants or chinos and a button-down—no jacket or tie needed. Gals: Cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, or something fun + festive you feel great in. Evenings can be a bit breezy (hello, Maine spring!), so bring a layer just in case. Come ready to mingle, toast, and soak up that salty air—we can’t wait to see you! The Dress Code is Black Tie Optional For men: A tuxedo is welcome, but a dark suit and tie is absolutely appropriate. For women: Floor-length gowns, elegant cocktail dresses, or dressy jumpsuits are all perfect. The wedding will take place outdoors on the oceanfront in May, when Maine evenings can be cool (think mid-60s during the day, cooler at night). We recommend bringing a wrap or jacket for any cool breezes—especially if your outfit is sleeveless or lightweight.
