Things To Do

E & K choose Wilmington, DE for their wedding because it's where they first meet and currently live! They have many fond memories in the city and SO many recommendations for your visit!

Riverfront

Justison St, Wilmington, 19801

The Wilmington Riverfront is where our hotel block is located and also where we are hosting the Welcome Party. It is also the place where E lived when E & K first started dating! Restaurants - there are lots of restaurants within walking distance to our hotel block and honestly you can't go wrong. A couple of our favorites are Taco Grande and Iron Hill Brewery. For breakfast, we highly recommend checking out the Riverfront Bakery! There's also a Starbucks. Activities - The Riverfront has a wonderful walking path that goes from the Wilmington Train Station all the way to DuPont Environmental Education Center (DEEC). If you're looking for a good walk, we recommend venturing to DEEC and walking their bridged paths through the marsh. There's also a movie theater.

Trolley Square

Delaware Ave, Wilmington, 19806

Trolley Square is where E & K live and is also the place where K lived when E & K first started dating! It is just a short 10 min drive from the Riverfront and parking in Trolley is free. Restaurants - A couple of our favorites are Oyster House (be sure to try a crush!), Trolley Tap House (location of E & K's first date), and Crow Bar. There's also El Diablo and Hayworth & Fitch if you're looking for a quicker bite to eat. Most of the restaurants do brunch. This is also a fun going out spot for those who are interested, bars close at 1am in DE. Activities - Trolley Square is located on the Brandywine River with another great opportunity for a walk. Just a short walk down river, the Brandywine Art Festival will be happening Sep 6-7. This festival will include local venders and food trucks. Admission is $5 a person.

Kennett Square

State St, Kennett Square, 19348

Kennett Square is one of E & K's favorite places to visit. It's about a 30 min drive from the Riverfront. Parking at some restaurants and breweries is free but street parking and the parking garage will cost money. Restaurants - many of the restaurants in Kennett are BYOB so check before heading over. Some of our favorites include The Naked Olive, Letty's Tavern, and Victory Brewing. The Creamery and Braeloch are also fun breweries, especially on a nice day. Activities - There are some cute stores and boutiques on the main street. Be sure to stop in Mrs. Robinson's Tea Shop and The Mushroom Cap. Talula's table is also a great stop for a sweet treat and coffee. About 10 mins from Kennett Square is the world famous Longwood Gardens, a wonderful botanical garden with a beautiful conservatory. Be sure to budget a couple of hours if you plan to visit!
