Dress code for the wedding, as mentioned, is Black-Tie Optional Attire (otherwise known as Formal Attire). This means you can dress as fancy as you want, but at a minimum, we ask for the men a dark suit with a white shirt, and a conservative tie/bowtie and for the women a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit. Don't worry, while the beach and the waves will be visible, we will not be in the actual sand for the ceremony.
We're thrilled you'll be celebrating with us at our wedding! Just a heads-up: Because of space and cost constraints, we can only accommodate guests listed on the RSVP. Unfortunately, extra guests won't be able to join us for the ceremony and reception. Thanks for your understanding!
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held outside. Weather this time of year is in the mid 70's and beautiful! If Mother Nature has other plans, the celebration could be moved inside.
This resort is all-inclusive, which means during your stay, the food and drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) are included. There are opportunities to get premium upgrades for a fee, but you will enjoy great food and drinks your entire stay without ever feeling the need to upgrade.
Unlike back in the States, tipping is not required; however, we have found small tips get you the best service, and increased attention over others that decide not to tip. Emily and Erik suggest tipping $1-2 a drink, $5 for lunch, and $10 for dinner as a couple. Again totally optional, but we've found we quite enjoy being the couple that gets the special attention.
Make sure to list allergies when selecting your reception meal, we will pass the information along to our wedding coordinator. At all other meals you'll be in full control.
