Once upon a time, there lived a traveling boy. For so long, his heart sought new places and exciting adventures, until it needed more. Like a bee to honey, he buzzed his way to the heart of a beautiful girl. On a sunny July day, she stole his attention with a striking blue romper and eyes to match. His intrigue grew exponentially as the two indulged in car karaoke on their way to the winery, creating their first memory (special thanks to Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me"). The girl couldn't help but be mesmerized by this boy; he was handsome and goofy and intelligent beyond measure. The pair quickly found their minutes and hours spent with each other. It was during a short 12-minute plane ride to Block Island that the girl began to think, "this could really be something." Two months later, though, the boy was packing his travel bags, once again; a moment they each knew was coming. But he was leaving with more than his backpack. Her heart was his. So, just 2 days before his flight, they agreed to make it official. Time zones and limited Wifi tested them but were nothing compared to the connection they had. What was meant to be a year-long trip turned into 3 months with the help of Mother Nature and two poisonous sea urchins making their way beneath the boy's feet. He was home by Christmas. The next couple of years brought laughter, the big 3 words, lots of dancing (mainly to Ed Sheeran) and many, many winery dates. Of course, the boy also introduced the girl to the world of traveling and, together, they experienced stunning places: swimming with sharks and hiking volcanoes in the Galapagos, driving 1,400 miles around the coastline of Ireland, being wildly underdressed at the top of Mt. Evans in Colorado (brrr!) and feeding pigs in the Bahamas. While every trip was amazing, the two also found happiness in movie nights, living room forts, and countless Rummy 500 games. They grew with laughs, deep conversations, time with family and dreaming of a future with little ones running around. And then, on May 18, 2024, as the two were taking in the historic views of Edinburgh on top of Calton Hill, the boy dropped to one knee and asked the girl for forever. The chapters we've experienced thus far have been nothing short of incredible and we are excited to be entering this next one surrounded by all of you. We'll see you on the dance floor!
