Yellowstone Regional Airport (COD)

Flying into Cody is limited to United Airlines, which requires routing through Denver International. If you are planning on flying in, we suggest early reservations for both flight and rental cars, as it is tourist season.

Billings Logan International Airport (BIL)

The alternative is to fly into Billings, Montana, which is serviced by Alaska Airlines, Delta, Cape Air/United, and American Airlines. Billings is approximately 2 hours from Wapiti. If you are planning on flying in, we suggest early reservations for both flight and rental cars, as it is tourist season.

Travel Note

Driving to Wapiti

If you are driving from Washington, you have a choice between driving through Yellowstone or around through Laurel, Montana. If you drive through Laurel, Montana, it is a beautiful 914-mile drive and takes about 15 hours to drive. If you plan on driving through Yellowstone, we recommend routing through West Yellowstone, Montana, which is an easier route than going through Gardiner, Montana. Either way, you can continue through to the East gate and on to Wapiti.
