Things To Do in Big Sky
Ousel Falls Trail
Ousel Falls Park Trail is a 1.6 mile out and back trail located near Gallatin Gateway, Montana that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels.
Beehive Basin Trail
Beehive Basin boasts some of the most breathtaking views Big Sky has to offer. This 6.6 mile round trip hike slopes up moderately with an elevation gain of 1,500 feet giving views of Lone Peak along the way. After 3.3 miles of trail, hikes enter Beehive Basin, a U-shaped glacial cirque with a crystal clear lake that overlooks Lone Peak.
Horseback Riding at LMR
Horses have long been essential to the way of life in Big Sky Country. For over a century, Lone Mountain Ranch’s team of horses has brought ranchers and visitors into parts of the backcountry that are otherwise unseen and untouched.
Flyfish the Gallatin River
The idyllic place to fish blue ribbon rainbow, brown brook trout, and native west slope cutthroat trout. The fly-fishing guides will provide anglers of all levels with the skills and gear they need to begin or advance their sport.

Yellowstone National Park
Explore Yellowstone! See dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful. It's also home to hundreds of animal species, including bears, wolves, bison, elk and antelope. This is a full day excursion, so we recommend for only guests that are extending their stay. The West Yellowstone entrance is closest to Big Sky.
Beehive Basin Brewery
Beehive Basin Brewery is a new microbrewery located in the Town Center of Big Sky MT, right next to Roxy’s Market. They operate a 7 barrel brewing system and run a small tap room where they invite you to come and taste some of their hand crafted brews.
Hungry Moose Market and Deli
Located in the Big Sky Town Center, this is a one-stop-shop for all your Big Sky needs. A small family-owned and locally-operated store that has fresh and organic produce, pantry staples, snacks, beer, wine, and homemade grab ’n go meals. Their deli starts serving breakfast and espresso at 6:30am every morning, as well as homemade baked goods and hand-dipped ice cream.
