Sawgrass Village Shopping Center
Our hotel is located within this shopping village. There are plenty of restaurants/bars, grocery stores, dessert shops and novelty stores to explore within easy walking distance. Sawgrass Marriott is another hotel located within this shopping village and is also an option for out of town guests.
Mickler Beach
This public beach is an easy 4 mile drive down A1A from our hotel. Mickler’s remains a local favorite, famous for its pink, coquina-sand stretches of beach. This beach is also a great spot to hunt for shark’s teeth. Mickler’s Landing has bathroom facilities, outdoor showers, and plenty of parking!
Historic St. Augustine
About a 30 minute drive from Ponte Vedra is downtown St. Augustine. Walk down St. George Street and enjoy pizza at "Pizzalleys on St. George" or a burger at "Prohibition Kitchen" and have a cup of gelato for dessert at one of the many ice cream shops!
Washington Oaks Gardens State Park
To enjoy more of the Florida scenery continue your drive along the laid back Florida A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway to Washington Oaks State Park. This is where we had our engagement photos taken. The park is full of beautiful gardens, trails, and wildlife. It follows the Mantanzas river and provides access to the ocean.
