Our Story
Erika and Ryan first crossed paths during their undergraduate years at McMaster University. Their first date was a typical Hamilton adventure, a waterfalls hike—followed by a horror movie The Nun… only to later discover they both hate horror films. Neither wanted the date to end, so they wandered campus for hours, lost in conversation and listening to Imagine Dragons on repeat.
Six months later, after many late-night study sessions, Ryan asked Erika to be his girlfriend at Casa Loma, framed by a magical Christmas backdrop. After six years together, they bought their first home, building a life filled with love, laughter, and many hikes.
On June 12, 2025, Ryan planned a day filled with Erika's favourite things—lunch at their go-to restaurant, board games with gin and tonics, and music from their very first date. The day ended with a walk along their favorite trail at Riverside Park, their dog Cinder, and Ryan asking Erika to spend forever with him.
