Mostly Foodie/Cocktail Stuff

Phoenix is a foodie's paradise and with a little research, you really can't go wrong. I have been told that a lot of restaurants launch here in Phoenix to test the waters and we're not mad about it. If you're staying in the Central Phoenix Area, I have included some favorites below but there are plenty more if you search the area on Yelp or Google.

Cultivate Coffee

505 West Dunlap Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85021
, (602) 612-2115

If you're looking for coffee, and a good cause, try this local spot that roasts their own delicious beans and also gives back to our community.

Kream Coffee

5102 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012
, (602) 377-7349

Great, small coffee shop inside a really hip/modern retail establishment called For the People.

AJ's Fine Foods

5017 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012
, (602) 230-7015

I know it may seem weird that we would suggest a grocery store as "Things To Do" but this local grocery is the perfect stop if you're looking to kill some time. Grab one of their delicious iced teas, maybe a pastry, and just peruse. Also a good place for a quick breakfast or lunch if you don't require a whole menu of options. Don't forget to take a number in the bakery section once you arrive!

Flower Child

100 East Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012
, (480) 212-0180

Multiple locations around The Valley and offer more healthy options without being boring.

Tutti Santi Ristorante by Nina

7575 North 16th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85020
, (602) 216-0336

Another local favorite so it can get packed on the weekend. I would describe this as Fine Italian Dining in a casual environment. We were recently serenaded by our server after he found out about our upcoming nuptials. Special Place!

Oregano's

1008 East Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ 85014
, (602) 241-0707

Pretty sure anything you order is going to hit the spot. Don't forget to try the Pizzookie! Multiple Locations.

The Parlor Pizzeria

1916 East Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ 85016
, (602) 248-2480

Former beauty parlor turned pizza joint serving gourmet pizzas with fresh ingredients.

Cheese 'n Stuff

5042 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012
, (602) 266-3636

Craving a sandwich? Erika has been frequenting this establishment since childhood and it is really hasn't changed. Freshly sliced meats to curate your own sandwich or try choosing one of their many Specials.

Chino Bandido

310 W. Bell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85023

If you're looking for unique food options, try this local favorite that blends Chinese and Mexican food like nothing you've ever seen. Not healthy but definitely unique and delicious! My favorite is the Jade Red Chicken.

Los Dos Molinos

1044 East Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ 85014
, (602) 528-3535

Known for being spicy but even our friends from up North should be able to find something that doesn't overwhelm their tastebuds.

Carolina's Mexican Food - Cactus

2126 East Cactus Road, Phoenix, AZ 85022
, (602) 275-8231

No-nonsense Mexican food in a casual environment. Their tortillas are famous and their refried beans make me drool. Simple and to the point.

Otro Cafe

6035 North 7th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014
, (602) 266-0831

My favorite pancakes outside of Betsy's kitchen but they also serve delicious brunch with a Mexican food theme.

Culinary Dropout and The Yard

5632 North 7th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014
, (602) 680-4040

Two restaurants under one roof but also yard games and a vast outdoor patio for all to hang!

The Womack

5749 North 7th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014
, (602) 283-5232

Classic cocktails & drinking snacks in a trendy, throwback setting with live music & a patio.

HULA'S Modern Tiki Uptown

5114 North 7th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014
, (602) 265-8454

Fun drinks and fun food = fun night out.

Postino Central (Wine Bar)

5144 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012
, (602) 274-5144

A local, intimate favorite for wine and bruschetta. Choose the Central Avenue location and you can hop across the street to 4 other establishments owned by this local restaurateur. Postino (wine bar), Joyride (Mexican), Federal Pizza, Windsor (American). All have excellent drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) along with friendly staff and colorful design accents.

Wrigley Mansion & Geordie's

2501 East Telawa Trail, Phoenix, AZ 85016
, (602) 955-4079

Great place to grab a cocktail and enjoy the spectacular views. Dinner is available but reservations are suggested. Live Jazz on Friday nights.

Biltmore Fashion Park

2502 East Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ 85016
, (602) 955-8400

Enjoy Springtime in Phoenix by walking around this outdoor "mall". Not your typical outdoor shops but definitely fun to window shop, grab lunch, coffee and/or ice cream. Tru Food is a local favorite and we make their Kale Salad often.....don't tell.

Biltmore Hotel, Phoenix, AZ

Phoenix, AZ 85016

For almost a century, The Arizona Biltmore has stood as an Arizona landmark and one of the world’s most recognized resorts for its Frank Lloyd Wright architectural style, intuitive hospitality and storied history, all topped off with a generous splash of old Hollywood glamour
